Help with my self-harm issue?

I used to self-harm, but it was just with my finger nails and I would dig them in really deep and scratch my skin. My mom eventually took me to the doctor & he knows about it. But the other day i used a pair of scissors instead of my nails. i know i shouldnt have done it, and i'm not proud of my self harming. my mum is really angry at me now and its making me more upset. she threatened to take me to a psychiatric hospital but i dont want to go. she booked an appointment for me to see my doctor again and i dont mind talking to him about it. i'm worried that when i go there my cut will have healed a lot and he might think my mum's making a fuss about nothing because when i hurt myself i didnt even do it very deep.. what do i do? i saw him a few days ago before all this, and now he's going to think i'm weird. he's already suggested that i see a counsellor but i can't until the week after next week.

I am a 16 year-old boy who lives with his father and mother. They are happy together and the rest of my family and them get together. My Mom and I have a good relationship, but that could not be said for the "relationship" between me and my "Dad". I lived a very privileged life I guess compared to most. I was the star in my family whether it was sports, school, or anything else I was better than my other siblings. As well as the first boy to be born, so naturally my Dad took a interest in me. I soon became the only kid paid attention to, sure they'd go to my sisters choir things and my little brothers graduations but they would drop anything that my brother and sister had going on to come see me excel in sports or school. My Dad put so much pressure on me as a kid, and now as I am in high school I just can't keep my grades up and have been asked to not come back to my high school causing me to go to a different one. I feel like my Dad thinks way to highly of me and when I fail he doesn't know how to just take it as a mistake. He will yell at me all the time. Constantly yelling and telling me I am a loser just because I haven't done as well in school as I used to. He always tries to make me feel like ****, and over time I learned to ignore it. They are just words after all... I guess. Around 8th grade (I am now going into Junior year) he started to get physical with me. Pushing me holding my face down to the ground whenever a argument got heated. Then it progressed to throwing me down on the ground or into walls. To my clothes getting ripped by the shear force of him holding or throwing me, to bruises and cuts on my body and arms. To now where even when I am not doing anything but trying to do what he asks, he will still continue to yell and hold me down. Today, I asked him to stop yelling in my ear because it is the only ear I can hear out of he started to throw me around, he threw me on the floor and held my head down by pulling my hair and putting his knee on the side of my head. I proceeded to get up after I thought he was done, and he thought I looked at him with an attitude or something and threw me on my bed I tried to push him off and my hand was cut, along with my arm. Then he tried to hold my head down again with his knee hit my nose and caused it to bleed. And proceeded to knee my chest. I also learned to not fight back because It will just get worse. I know it could be worse and I have sympathy for those who it worse, but I don't feel that this is how parents should treat their kids. It's gotten to the point where I have to defend my sister and sometimes my little brother and even then I'll get abused. I look around at my other friends who do so many more bad things that my Dad would castrate me for and they don't get abused. Is this right? Could Legal action be taken? I don't exactly want to take action with the police or something because it would cause more stress to my siblings and Mom then they deserve. What should I do? What can I do, if anything at all.

If a teacher finds out that a student is injuring themself does she have any legal right to tell the parents?

Just for specific clarification the stundent is 14, both birth parents are legal guardians. The student has been cutting OCCASIONALLY for the past year. The teacher knows for sure, and has spoken with the student about it. The student has made it very clear that she does not want her parents to know. There are no indications of suicide or cidal attempts, or expression of suicidal or cidal thoughts. There is no record of the student becoming violent, and no record of any psychological condition other than mild-moderate depression. The stundent lives in Georgia if the law (if even in existence) varies with the state. Also just to clarify I don't want any advice on whether or not the teacher SHOULD tell the parents, just if they CAN. Thank you for your time.

Using dimmer switch heats up wires?

I've heard that using a dimmer switch connected to a bunch of lights will heat up the wires. Can someone explain why that is? Ok so I just got a pair of clippers and gave myself a number 1 buzz cut, which is great looking, except I noticed that in pics of a number 1 cut, the hairline has a straight, round look, and I noticed my hairline is kind of receding. It comes around straight on one side, and the other side starts to go higher. I also have a little patch of hair growing down the middle instead of continuing to go straight. Is my cut healing properly?

about three weeks ago i stepped on a broken beer bottle & cut myself on the bottom of my foot. I made the mistake of going to the hospital till the next day but after all I ended up getting 9 PAINFUL stitches on the bottom of my foot. After 2 weeks with them on I went to get them removed & they told me to stay off it for a couple more weeks. My question is if its normal for my whole foot to turn purple while i have it down? if i am laying down there seems to be no problem but as soon as im on my feet using my crutches or sitting my foot starts turning a bit darker, theres no pain, heat, or coldness should i be concerned?

Lately I've been getting really stressed and some bad times have caught up with me, I've recently been caught up with police (no crime, I'm not like that) and they've just crowded me with psychologists and nurses and helping hands. I think I have Tapeworms?

For the past few days I've been eating a lot of mangoes. I of course washed them but when I was peeling it I accidentally cut off a huge chunk so I just scd it off with my teeth. I've been having these 2 recurring dreams actually of going away wherever but I never really get there either because I wake up or maybe other reasons in the dream I can't remember. I was given about 100 tulip bulbs today from my work. They were just dug up today and all the leaves are still green, but with no flower. It doesn't make sense to me that Democrats want to keep throwing money at a broken system like Medicare when it's obviously going to hit us like a truck when the baby boomers retire. I also don't get how essentially turning it into a voucher system for people 55 and below would work either, since it doesn't address the fact that people 55+ are going to soak up Medicare, pushing us further into debt. Why not reform it for everyone? Make the seniors sacrifice a little so us young folks don't have to foot the bill while getting nothing in return when we retire. Neither parties seem to care about future generations. We simply do not have the money to pay for all these entitlements. You can cut defense and raise taxes all you want, but we are facing tens of trillions of dollars in unfunded liabilities from entitlements that will place an insurmountable burden of debt on my generation, and that is where we ought to start if we want to get serious about this debt crises. Where am I wrong?

Sorry I know the post is long but there is no shorter way of putting it. I think that a friend of mine is manipulating and playing mind games with me. There have been a few incidents with him which i think proves my point. He pretends to be caring and for my own good. But i have also noticed that he can be very jealous if he sees me talking to or texting other guys. He has said to me he has feelings for me and he wants more to happen between us. But i dont feel the same way about him. And i dont think i have lead him on in any way. I was out for a few drinks with my him recently and a few of his lad friends. There was one guy i had never met before as he was his college friend from outside town. We got talking and we seemed to get along quite well in my opinion. I thought it was a pretty childish thing to do. When ever i get talking to his guy friends he gets so jealous and accuses me of ignoring and not being a proper friend to him. And just a few days ago i told him i am back texting an ex boyfriend he is someone i still have a lot of feelings for. He messaged me on facebook accusing me of being caught in a stupid rut and that i should listen to him and not text that particular guy anymore. He then accused me (after hearing about me texting my ex) of being ignorant with his friends and all his friends said the same thing to him about me. I feel like i cant win with him. If i chat to his friends he accuses me of ignoring him and not being a good friend to him and he also accuses me of trying to 'get off' with them. He told me his friends don't like me. Why would i bother talking to them if that is the case? Im thinking of just cutting all ties with him. I told him not to bother texting me again because i am still angry with him. I haven't heard from him in a few days now. I think he has influenced other guys and turned them away from me. Hi there. Well to start off with, the average recommended daily calorie intake is anywhere between 1500 and 2000 calories a day. Anything below 1000 calories is considered starving yourself. The more you weight the quicker the weight will come off in the beginging. I would say if you cut your calorie intake, eat healthy foods, drink lots of water and workout 5 days a week you should at least be able to lose 30 pounds by Sept 5 ( the average is 10 pounds lost a month). I would say its possible if you work super hard but either way you should be able to accomplish quite a bit by then. best of luck to you

Terrible abdominal pain?

When I was pregnant with my first son in 09 I started getting this terrible pain in my abdomen. It usually lasts about 20-30 minutes straight and on a scale from 1-10 its a 12. I've had 2 kids and this pain feels worse than giving birth, in fact, it feels like something in my stomach is squeezing so hard its about to burst. The pain is mostly right under my ribcage where they separate and it spreads to my back. I've been to the ER for this matter about 3 times and never got treated or diagnosed with anything. In fact,they kept asking me if I was taking illegal drugs and I got very offended cuz I've went there 3 times for the same problem and they wouldn't even take me serious. Anybody know what this could possibly be? A friend said it could be ulcers,I'm just asking on here cuz my insurance was temporarily cut off and I had another episode today but I don't wanna go back to the hospital and have to pay another bill for nothing.

Why doesn't Mak'leou in the Muted Scarp not start the cutscene when I have 2 medallions in Final Fantasy XII?

I am doing the Medals for Nabudis side quest so I can fight Chaos. I have returned the Dull, Black, and Grimy Fragments to Roh'kenmou. I have also got the Moonsilver Medallion and returned it to him as well. At this point I am supposed to talk to Mak'leou and initiate a cut scene with the three mous, and instead he just says "Oh do not sneak up on me like that. 6 month & teething......?

My son just cut his 2 bottom teeth...both are all the way broke through the skin, can he still fuss from this? He seems to fuss a lot. Is it legal for the company my Mom works for to fire her while she is injured?

My Mom got injured on the job over a year ago. She had multiple compacted vertebrae and has been going numb in one of her arms slowly. She was on workman's comp. and going to doctors appointments and physical therapy. They have not paid any of her doctors bills, like they had originally agreed, and cut off her insurance just recently. Her doctor and multiple doctors said it was necessary to get a operation in order for her to be able to go back to work, but they refused to let her get it. (They as in the insurance company through her work and a IME they had hired.) Instead they sent her to more physical therapy, which they also said they would pay for but haven't. She, despite all this, was hoping to go back to work, she loved her job.Now just today they sent her a check. They haven't sent her one in months, from what it seems though is it is a farewell, you are fired, check. It has multiple charges and other things marked on it to where it is pretty much nothing. She is still working with W.C. and a lawyer on this injury issue. Is it legal for them to fire her while she is still going through this? And is it possible they may never pay the medical bills and compensation they had originally agreed to? Oh yeah, and it took three months for them to even give her the first check they were supposed to. This is in Oregon.

I know the post is long but there is no shorter way of putting it. I think that a friend of mine is manipulating me. There have been a few incidents with him which i think proves my point. My new pup can't eat raw chicken bones?

She is a 9wk old Italian greyhound.. I fed my sheltie raw from 8 weeks and he crunched bones like a maniac from day one. My great-grandparents and the generations before from my mom's side were from Poland. My grandparents and my mother and I were all born here in the US.
