How to care for Tulip bulbs?

I was given about 100 tulip bulbs today from my work. They were just dug up today and all the leaves are still green, but with no flower. I want to plant them in my yard but i don't know if i should plant them right now or dry them out for fall planting. If i dry them out am i supposed to cut all the leaves off? I am really new to gardening, but really enjoy it. I live in wisconsin if that makes a difference. Any advice would be appreciated. thank you
