Is it very bad if I cut myself with rust?

I was hopping over a fence, and put my hand on a metal pole for support to hop over. When I got down, I looked at my hand and saw that i had a small cut. It really is small, no more than1/2 cm wide, with just a small piece of skin flipped up and it bled a little, really nothing big at all. I looked at the pole and it was some what rusty, but not extremely. It really isn't big, but I was curious if I should still be worried anyway?
