What lead to the discovery of abiogenesis?? how its culturally embedded?
Abiogenesis was not "discovered;" it was an idea that had always been umed to be a fact. It was disproved in experiments by Redi, Spallanzani, and Pasteur, among others, who showed that abiogenesis (or spontaneous generation) was not true. The only Americans closely connected with this idea were Urey and Miller, who showed that complex organic compounds could be formed from simpler substances; but this is not a demonstration against abiogenesis, since they only showed the formation of organic molecules. They did not disprove abiogenesis...
